So your date is fast approaching and vendors start asking for timelines….. my best advice is WORK BACKWARDS!!
Ok… what time is your ceremony?? How long will it take to travel to the venue from the getting ready location? How long will it take to get dressed?? How long are you allowing for photos? Are you doing a first look, staged family/bridal party pics before the ceremony or getting ready pics? Allowing an hour for hair and 45min for makeup; calculate how many people require services and do you have one person doing everything, or several people on the team helping you get ready? Does the hair and makeup team have additional bookings on the day and you need to clarify their availability time suits you? Allow time to stop and greet/check when your flowers are delivered. Time to give bridesmaids gifts and/or time with friends/family/parents to reflect and prepare for the day. Time to eat/graze during the day. Time to shower/moisturise/check tan/ensure face is washed and moisturised. Some brides like to add in a walk/yoga or some other enjoyable activity; but just remember the morning will fly by and all these little things add up time wise. Make sure you choose a team who will support you by keeping you calm and relaxed but also accountable time wise.
